Some great examples of eportfolio with particular good use of media, and multiview among others.

Savvyfolio.net also has guidance to take  a learner through the steps to building a rich eportfolio while understanding the benefits.

Could be used to help with support materials to encourage good use of Mahara in your institution.

Is Content Curation in Your Skill Set? It Should Be. by David Kelly : Learning Solutions Magazine

Is Content Curation in Your Skill Set? It Should Be. by David Kelly : Learning Solutions Magazine | UVic ePortfolio Users | Scoop.it
Tim Hopper's insight:

Effective article for explaining why we shoudl curate, As Steven Rosenbaum staes in his book  Curation Nation,

“Curation replaces noise with clarity. And it’s the clarity of your choosing; it’s the things that people you trust help you find.”

What type of curation shoudl we do?

The 5 Models of Content Curation:

Aggregation: The gathering and sharing of relevant content. It releases the individual worker from needing to seek out the content.Filtering: Instead of simply aggregating content, filtering shares only those resources that are most relevant and valuable.Elevation: Recognizing a larger trend in the sea of seemingly less-important content.Mashups: Merging two or more unrelated pieces of content to form a new message.Timelines: Organizing random pieces of content in chronological order to show the evolution of an idea.

14 Bloom's Taxonomy Posters For Teachers

14 Bloom's Taxonomy Posters For Teachers | UVic ePortfolio Users | Scoop.it

Bloom’s Taxonomy is a useful tool for assessment design, but using it only for that function is like using a race car to go to the grocery–a huge waste of potential.

In an upcoming post we’re going to look at better use of Bloom’s taxonomy in the classroom, but during research for that post it became interesting how many variations there are of the original work. While a handful of the charts below only show aesthetic changes compared to others, most are concept maps of sorts–with graphic design that signifies extended function (power verbs), detail (clear explanations), or features of some sort (Bloom’s Taxonomy tasks by level).
