"Creative Book Builder is a fantastic app that allows students to create books in epub format, which can then be exported to iBooks and shared with others. There are a variety of instructional uses for this app, from using it as a publishing tool for project-based learning to a summative assessment at the end of a unit. Students can embed images, audio files, video files, and write text. http://goo.gl/0rpEK - Amazing iPad - 34/30 and iPad application that is extremely useful for productivity. Using this application would be very useful in my classroom to time your lesson plan. The designers or the developers of this application have created a very useful and well-designed application.
The idea behind this is that you give yourself a timed period of focus work. At the end of this period you are rewarded with abreak of however long you choose before starting the next session of work.
Or you could use this application to aportion time available to get a job done. You allocate periods of time to various parts of the job and let the timer tell you when you should be moving onto the next section. You get very visual feedback from the application to tell you where you are timewise and you also get the timer to tell you exactly what time you will be finished the set of tasks.

To my surprise, it is my most visited post of all time with over 37,000 page views. That is about 20,000 more than my second most read post. I thought it would be fun to do an updated post having used the iPad in my class for two years. Now that I have a class set of iPads, the number of apps that I use or will be using has changed and I thought I would share that with everyone.."
"In making my choices, I’m considering multi-purpose apps that can be used across all curriculum areas, apps that take advantage of the multimedia strengths and apps that can help us use technology in new and innovative ways that can change the way we teach, not just do it the same way with a different tech toy. Some apps are needed to handle the shortfalls of the iOS in a shared network setting and others are chosen because they can make the iPad interact with other tech in the school."
"Every Thursday the Featured area of the iPad App Store gets a refresh and adds some new and often topical featured sections. This week one of these is titled ‘Education Collections’ and it’s one of the best and most complete sections of this type that I’ve seen."
"The iPad screen defaults to automatically dim itself and then turn itself off after a fairly short amount of time of inactivity. That’s great for preserving battery life of iOS devices, but if you’re like me you keep an iPad or iPhone alongside you full time while working as a control panel for Pandora, podcasts, and email, and having the screen lock after a few minutes of inactivity is annoying."
