Mr Byrne outlines four new features for Google Forms. They seem pretty technical at first but these minor changes will make like just a little easier for teachers.
They include: checkbox grid response, improved file upload and default settings for Forms.

Use Google Forms not a Google Doc! Changing your Word documents into Google Docs is NOT the way to go, use Google Forms instead!

Alice Keeler makes a strong argument for using self-marking forms to give students immediate impact. She suggests that giving feedback on Google Docs or even using extended answer questions in Forms is useless unless you can work on it immediately.

In Google Slides there is a comment count on the side of the flimstrip. Notice the number of comments left on each slide to make sure feedback was given.

Alice Keeler suggests using Google Slides to get students to comment on the work of other students. This can be a little fraught but if it is introduced in a respectful manner and if students must log in to comment, then it can be a useful method of peer feedback.

This website provides a template that can be used by students to evaluate each other's contribution to group work One issue I have noticed in group assessment tasks is not all students contribute evenly. By introducing a peer evaluation students know that their contribution to the group will count and be valued. Although it initially looks complicated to set up it is a template that can be adapted through Google forms.
