Complex. Still trying to get my head around the process but Amit has a list of 'regular expression' short cuts that you can add to a Google Form field to ensure that people respond appropriately. Examples include: email address and phone numbers. It's not foolproof, but it's a start.

Just did this but although I could create the Form using the template in Google Drawing, Google Forms wouldn't let me change the background image in Forms when I was using Google Chrome! I had to change to Firefox. Oh, the irony!
