If you make the switch from the classic Google Drive to the new Drive experience, you'll find that in addition to the visual enhancements to the interface, there are many other updates to become acquainted with in the new Drive. After becoming more familiar with using the new Drive, it's easy to notice improvements in the ability to locate, organize and take action on files.

I initially tried it and found that selecting multiple files was difficult (ie there's no checkbox any more.  I am sure that there is a way to do it but I don't have the time to find out.

I am probably using most of these tools but this article draws attention to two that I have not heard of before.  

They include "Power Linking" - the ability to highlight text, hit CTRL-K or Command-K and get suggested links!

The other is "Map It" which uses country data (about anything) and it will create a world map representing that data - Geography teachers everywhere should like this!
