I'm now trying a new way to monitor changes to my shared Google Documents.

Gerald Carey's insight:

I have used this for over a year now and although some aspects of it are inaccurate (e.g. it tells you that a document was changed a year ago when in fact it is currently being changed by the author), it is helpful for telling me which students are online and what assignment they are working on.  Really helpful if I want to send them a quick message.
