A Beginner’s Guide to Google Sheets for Educators | Imagine Easy Solutions | Using Google Drive in the classroom | Scoop.it

One application that sometimes gets overlooked, though, is Google Sheets. Yeah, we know, spreadsheets aren’t the most fun or fascinating tool to play with, but there are powerful possibilities for using Google Sheets in education.

Gerald Carey's insight:

Although this article starts out more like a 'how to use Google Sheets' introductory post, near the end the author has a list of suggestions on how to use this app in the classroom. The how-to part is well done with lots of clear examples including how to collaborate, how to organise files and how to use Google Forms with Sheets.

A reasonably good post that could be used to introduce Sheets to your school.

Share part of a document with particular people. The author gives us a fairly detailed tutorial on how to do this in Google Docs.
