San Francisco's steepest hill is Filbert between Leavenworth and Hyde (31.5% grade). With help from a pending app called "Hill Mapper," you may be able to avoid some tiring climbs. Sam Maurer uses Google's map elevation service to create a color coated guide to San Francisco's toughest hills.
