Looking for a good time and free food? Look no further. Every first Thursday of the month the student's of Melinda Stone's Community Garden Project cook a free dinner at St. Cyprian's church on the corner of Turk and Lyon at 7:30.
Tonight is the second to last dinner hosted this semester, because Spring 2013 is quickly coming to a close. This is the third community dinner being hosted just 5 minutes away from the USF main campus. It includes choices for vegetarians, vegans and even people with gluten free lifestyles.
The students begin cooking for the dinner at 1 pm and continue until 7:30 pm when the dinner begins. Not only is free dinner included, but dessert is also served; as long as you clean your plate! Come to the corner of Turk and Lyon for a good time and delicious hand made food.
Tonight, on the menu is Bean and Butternut Tacos, Vegan/gluten free pot pie, biscuits, rosemary bread, quash and leek lasagna, cilantro pesto and for dessert butternut squash cupcakes.
