I see there is a big difference between product management and UX, in my world, they're two different functions in the product design life cycle; then, why would it be the "dark side"? I don't get it.

I do agree that dark side expression is going to far, but ideally said product manager should consider building better products from user experience capabilities as well, so ideally these two functions should be united as this slide mentions.
