Presentation given at SXSWedu on March 6, 2012.
Everything here is rendered with CSS: no images, no canvas, no data URIs and no extra markup. The piCSSelz (see what I did there) are drawn with CSS gradients sized precisely to pixel boundaries. There are certainly more practical uses for this technique, but none quite as nostalgic.
Ever get the feeling that you’re being watched? Here’s a canvas and JavaScript experiment that my kids loved.
This is a jquery iPad simulator, this is only an experiment of what can be done with javascript in ast browsers

The requested government was not found in this country. Please come back... well, later.
Viewing this I had to open firebug to prove to myself that there were no images used; but it’s true, this is a Pure CSS3
Useless, maybe!

Email: Unfortunately I cannot type to log in, but you can send me email anyway at kris@cs.umd.edu. Sometimes the other folks in my research group call me up on the phone and read it to me.
You can read about me in the October 17th Cybersurfing column of the Washington Post. Unfortunately, they didn't include my URL! Current Position: Mascot, Omega Project, Department of Computer Science, University of Maryland at College Park. You can look at my picture, either in JPEG (62k) or in GIF (300k). Also take a look at my biography and my adoption certificate.
Divided under different headings, you can browse using the menu on top of the page. This web site contains a large amount of really useless features. Just a real useless web site.

Franz Enzenhofer has cobbled together a whole bunch of tech to create the “unofficial Google Image Search by Drawing” service. He’s also made the source available on Github, what a nice chap.

Okay, wait a minute. You guys are killing my server. I used to have a million digits of Pi listed here, and it was really great. But now you have brought my server to its knees with your interest in its greatness. So, I'm going to hide all those nutty digits . . .
I came across this on Hacker News and it blew my mind. Fabrice Bellard just created a PC emulator that boots Linux, written in JavaScript. It even works on my iPad. From the technical notes … The PC emulator is written in Javascript.
Cameron Daigle has created a masterpiece. Does what is says on the box, no mess, no fuss. Paul Irish has even written a polyfill for it (source). Go forth and conquer your text with the noble but mighty centaur, king of mythical creatures.

109 Cats In Sweaters: Plus one cat in a poncho!!! I really hope you like cats in sweaters, otherwise this is not going to be fun for you...This extremely important archival research started here.
I used to browse through these when I was bored. I believe I was 14 or 15 when I first discovered them. Now, 12 years later, I am amazed to find that their legacy lives on. Go on, and browse the most useless web pages in the world. My personal favorite is the Wah Kazoo website.
