What If a Frog Had Wings...

The worst question used to justify a design element starts with "what if..."

There have been hundreds of times when I've been working on a UI and someone asks "what if the user wants to [insert low probability scenario here]." If it was an actual priority, it would have already been identified in the task analysis.

When someone introduces an additional design element with "what if...," chances are it's not a high value element. That doesn't mean that it wouldn't fit somewhere else, though, just not where I'm working.

Developing a solid mobile app requires discipline and practicality. These mobile design "don’ts" will help you avoid some messy obstacles.
Sara Mancinelli's insight:

1. non iniziare a sviluppare un wireframe o un design senza aver prima disegnato un diagramma di flusso della struttura dell'app e della sua navigazione.
2.Non tralasciare il budget a disposizione per lo sviluppo effettivo del design.
3.Non iniziare il design a bassa risoluzione e evita le bitmap. Meglio il vettoriale.
4.tieni conto della larghezza media del dito!!
5.Non esagerare con le intro animate.
6.Non lasciare l'utente in attesa privo di informazioni mentre l'app si sta caricando.
7.Non usare uno stile grafico in contrasto con quello dell'OS per cui l'app è concepita, magari imitando quello di altri OS: può essere fastidioso o peggio disorientante per l'utente.
8.Non sovraffolate lo schermo della vostra app, specie se state disegnando per alta risoluzione.Lo stesso design adattato alla bassa risoluzione potrebbe risultare difficile o impossibile da utilizzare.
9. Non dare per scontato che tutti utilizzerano l'app nella tua stessa maniera.Se puoi organizza un test di usabilità
10. Non affidarti solo sulle azioni delle dita: alcune app prevedono la possibilità di accedere a funzioni o di compiere operazioni grazie a un semplice passaggio del dito: utilizza questa possibiltà, ma non affidarti esclusivamete a quella: meglio prevedere più possibilità di accesso a determinate funzioni.
