This is incredibly important to our understanding of collective activity or the way we engage in collective public activity.  We have much to learn about the ethics of scarcity and survival that may help us understand why people engage in "crime".

We also have much to learn about urban design and how to create a sense of place that helps people better manage their lives through better civic and economic engagement and through crime prevention through environmental design
