Your humanity has been visible to me, I am saying to you here, on this page, and I see that you are more than your worst things. I hope you get home safe"

Eighth-Grader Who Refused to Remove NRA Shirt Could Face Year in Prison

Eighth-Grader Who Refused to Remove NRA Shirt Could Face Year in Prison | up2-21 | Scoop.it
Perhaps a suddenly firearm-friendly President Obama can put in a good word for Jared Marcum. In April, Marcum, an eighth-grader at Logan Middle School in Logan, W. Va., was arrested when he refused to take off his NRA t-shirt.
up2-21's insight:

I'm sorry America, this is disgusting. To try to send a kid to jail, simply because he wouldn't remove a NRA t-shirt? This shows how depraved we have become. We have far more serious things to worry about, and yet our courts and prosecutors choose to pick on a 14 year old? This pretty much shows how low we have become, we want everyone in jail/prison, so they can be controlled.

Hearing to determine if boy accused in crime spree will be charged as adult

Hearing to determine if boy accused in crime spree will be charged as adult | up2-21 | Scoop.it
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-- A 15-year-old accused of a cross-county crime spree that included murder was accused of stealing guns from his family's house and failing previous juvenile probation programs.
up2-21's insight:

This is a 15 year-old boy. He should be  charged as a juvenile. This kid also reads at a 3rd grade level. If this kid winds up being charged as an adult, there is something very wrong with our court systems, and the prosecutor in this case.
