US sending Patriot surface-to-air missiles to #Turkey - reports — RT #dejavu | Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth. | Scoop.it
US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta has signed an order to deploy two Patriot air-defense missile batteries to Turkey, he said in an exclusive interview with CBS News. The missiles are expected to bolster Turkish defenses against Syria.
“It will mean that the heavy weapons will come in. Potentially you could end up with a no-fly zone. Really, it's pretty much an open declaration of war against the Assad regime,” Hallinan said.
On December 5 the USS Eisenhower, an American aircraft carrier that maintains eight fighter bomber squadrons and 8,000 men, reached the Syrian coast. The carrier joined the USS Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, which arrived earlier and holds approximately 2,500 Marines. If Washington calls for a ground intervention into Syria, the US currently has 10,000 fighting men, 17 warships, 70 fighter-bombers, and 10 destroyers and frigates armed with guided military missiles in the waters close to Syrian shores.

Today is not the time to open a debate about the availability of weapons in the United States of America, today is not the day to grandstage. It is time for the citizens of the world to come together and embrace those people who have lost their loved ones and their children in a horrifically unexpected and shocking incident just before the time when families are getting ready to celebrate.

As we celebrate our Christmases this year, let us spare a thought and a prayer for those whose lives have just been torn apart.

The border area with Turkey where this attack occurred proves that these terrorists were smuggled by the Turkish fanatic Muslim Brotherhood government under Erdogan who dreams to become a Caliph of Muslims or at least an Ottoman Sultan. Marat Musin is still able - although not live, but on a daily basis - to report from Syria. The new video from Syria is from Daraya.
After Kreml.TV has thrown in the towel after the last really superb live broadcast (interesting at minute 20), Marat Musin (ANNA-News) got company from another camera man and some enthusiasts and he is still able – although not live, but on a daily basis – to report from Syria.

The cameraman Dmitry Yershov adds:

“Among the dead are people from Libya, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and even from Australia. A lot of money in the currencies of Saudi Arabia and Libya was found in Daraya.

The rebels have left behind severe devastation and a quantity of ammunition when they have withdrawn.”

Australia? Why not – For example, Swedish jihadists seem to also be proven in the meantime.

Depleted Uranium, Dirty Bombs: NATO’s Deadly Gifts To Kosovo, Serbia #EuropeanUnion #NobelPrize | Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth. | Scoop.it
“In 1998, 21 children were born with deformities. In 2008 there were 73,” says Nela Cvetkovic, a Member of the Vranje City Council, in a statement for VJM. The number of of the newborn didn’t change, it is about 800-1000 babies per year.

At the same time, in a six year period after the NATO bombing the number of newly registered cancer cases has more than doubled – from 185 in the year 2000 to 398 new diagnoses in 2006.

Permanent consequences

“The half-life of uranium 238 is very long – 4.5 billion years,” reminds nuclear physicist Miroslav Simic, stating that “this way of throwing away nuclear waste on civilian, but also military targets, is not human as the consequences are permanent.”

#SERBIA The Battle of Kolubara #history | Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth. | Scoop.it
The Battle of Kolubara entered in the history of warfare as a unique example of the army, which was on the brink of collapse, but still managed to reorganize in a short time, go to a counterattack and inflict a decisive defeat to the enemy.

The tactics of regrouping only the First Army and a concentrated attack on the Sixth Army (which was laid out on a broad front), which was performed by Živojin Mišić, today is studied in military academies around the world.

The Battle of Kolubara lasted from November 16 until December 15, 1914, on a wider northwest area of then Kingdom of Serbia on the front of 200 kilometers.

In the Battle of Kolubara 22.000 Serbian soldiers died and 27.216 enemy soldiers and non-commissioned officers, as well as 1.080 officers of the Austro-Hungarian Balkan Army Group.

Strauss-Kahn settles sexual assault lawsuit with hotel maid
Former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn and a New York City hotel maid who accused him of sexual assault last year agreed to settle her civil lawsuit on Monday. Bronx County Supreme Court Justice Douglas McKeon said the details of the settlement will not be made public. However, earlier there were rumors that the settlement sum could be as much as $6 million. Last year Nafissatou Diallo, a maid at the Sofitel Hotel in Manhattan, told police that she was sexually assaulted by Strauss-Kahn. He claimed the encounter was consensual. The scandal forced Strauss-Kahn to step down as the head of the IMF and halted his plans to run for the presidency in his native France.

In sum, the Brothers are men in some hurry. They would know that the US would not easily let go such a ‘pivotal’ country such as Egypt.
They have knowledgeable regarding the range of influences that already work on the Salafist outfits in Egypt, with Saudi Arabia loosening its purse strings. They know how ambitious Qatar is.
They also know that the Persian Gulf oligarchies are terrified that the Brotherhood is surging on the regional landscape as the life force of the New Middle East and that their day of reckoning is approaching,
considering their brutal suppression of the Islamist activists over time, especially in Saudi Arabia.
The Brotherhood’s ‘natural ally’ would have been Iran but then, it takes time to cross the prevailing sectarian divides in the region that the Saudis have manipulated and in any case any premature moves to close ranks with Iran will invoke the wrath of the US and its regional allies.
