MIT Students Create The Future With An iPad And A Glove

MIT Students Create The Future With An iPad And A Glove | omnia mea mecum fero | Scoop.it

The video the group has released shows some pretty fancy stuff, drawing objects in 3D real time, and then manipulating them in collaboration with others. There’s even some slick Minority Report-style interface there, with researches moving red and blue rectangles around in the virtual space they’ve created on the iPad.

Stampsy - create digital multimedia content

Stampsy - create digital multimedia content | omnia mea mecum fero | Scoop.it
Stampsy is a sharing platform for people who produce compelling digital media content.

Whether you're a photographer, an editor or an art school student, Stampsy is the place where your creative ideas are shaped into beautiful digital experiences. We call them Stamps and they're a completely new online format for framing your talent and sharing content on the web. At a time of rapidly increasing opportunities for storytelling and visual expression, Stampsy is the place where digital content comes to life.

Baiba Svenca's curator insight, May 2, 2:00 PM

Stampsy is a new iPad app for creating digital content. The steps are easy to follow - add images and text to your page using drag-and-drop method. Change colours or fonts, and design the page as you like.

The result you'll get is a linear presentation with great visual potential, perfect for storytelling purposes.

There is a small inconvenience though - you will need a Facebook account to use the application.

The app is free. Download it here https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stampsy/id582398120?mt=8

ghbrett's curator insight, May 8, 9:32 AM

Stampsy is an interesting graphic tool currently for the iPad. It has a few necessry tools such as Headline, Text, Images, Colour Palette, Various Fonts, and best of all it is limited to 10 pages. If Powerpoints were limited to 10 pages I wonder how much real information would be lost? No doubt we'd see the important information. Check it out.

Creativity is defined as the ability to create, but sometimes, we seem to lose that ability all of a sudden.

Luckily, Jordan-based art director Islam Abudaoud has created a useful infographic that teaches us ways to stay creative.

Titled ‘29 Ways To Stay Creative’, the infographic illustrates the “creative process and methods to keep a person moving forward and motivated to keep doing more”.

Within the typographic communities, people have debated on the issue: Do serifs contribute to the legibility of typefaces, and are sans serif typefaces less legible?

Like many things, these two different fonts have pros and cons. This infographic takes a look at the argument of serif vs sans serif...

Infographic: Hackers Create An Amazing, Illegal Portrait Of The Internet

Infographic: Hackers Create An Amazing, Illegal Portrait Of The Internet | omnia mea mecum fero | Scoop.it

It wasn’t malicious. The file itself was the size of a small JPEG. It was given the absolute lowest priority. And it was set to self-destruct if anything went wrong. But this small file allowed one single hacker to measure the Internet activity of nearly half a million connected devices around the world, then share the results with everyone.

How was this even possible? The "hacker" barely hacked anything. In reality, they gained access to all these systems because each had the default "root" set as a password. With this access in hand, they ran several tests focusing on Internet structure and activity. And what they created from all this data is a spectacular map that captures a day in the life of the Internet (and all of its users).
