Contrary to what Republicans are saying now, the sequester is a largely Republican idea. In fact, Jack Kingston (R-GA) proposed sequestration in December of 2010.

This is a great analysis! Take a moment to read over this and listen to the summary of the info and it will be well worth your time. The Pew Project on our mass media seems to be a fair assessment. Delete the scoop?

Drawn to this aricle by the idea someone would "ban internet cafes,' places I really like, I was surprized it involved not cafes but their use for gambling. My first reaction is, punish all for wrong doing of a few. Until you read about the political contributions. More money in politics, does it ever end? Delete the scoop?

Synopsis: This article pertains to the issue of how social networking sites like Facebook & Twitter have such great impact on the 21st Century that we're living in. This article also presents the positive aspects of such influence such as diminishing distance and facillitating effective communtication.
Commentary: As cliche as this may sound, I do subscribe to the notion that social media is a double edged sword. While it could be used to compliment business transactions and strengthen relationships, it could also bring about adverse impacts. With social media, it is inevitable that some users would abuse it by viewing inappropriate sites. Social media could also encourage the act of cyber bullying, which would cause emotional stress to some Internet users. However, to say that social media is entirely wrong and vile is a biased and hypocritical statement since we ourselves use and frequent them. The pivotal issue is that people of the 21st Century must exercise self responsibility and be cautious of their online conduct. This way, Social Media would be able to achieve it's noble aim of integrating the human race.

It seems a good idea to make Corporations prove their personhood with hard facts about how they are human. They cannot be counted twice. Limits of individual donations should apply to this one person corporation just like other individuals. They are not approved people-hood just a singular personhood.
Excerpt: Today, the District of Columbia joined 11 states in calling for a constitutional amendment to get Big Money out of politics by overturning the Citizens United ruling and related cases. Public Citizen applauds the resolution’s sponsor, Councilmember David Grosso, and all members of the Council for unanimously supporting this critical measure for our democracy.

I did not know that the there are 11 states calling for an amendment to overturn CU. My guess is they are all Northeastern states and California? Good job David Grasso.

On the last day before the sequester begins here's another story, but with a twist, Rep. Kingston wants it to happen and owns up to helping introduce it. Will he defend it in May and September?
