Terri P's curator insight, June 11, 2014 4:15 PM

As always, Jane is spot on topic when she reviews an e-learning  'cheesy video' about cooking a hamburger. Yes, she says, it was garish and cheesy but in the end it worked. The intended learner learned how to cook a burger, no more, no less.

Exploiting Infographics for ELT

Exploiting Infographics for ELT | U of F Professional Development | Scoop.it

For those of you who haven’t encountered the term ‘infographic’ before, an infographic is a visual representation of, what is often, quite dense statistical information. This is the kind of information which can be very difficult to read as prose / text, but which, when transformed to a visual, can become accessible very quickly.

I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of quotes. They enliven stories and help make a point even more memorable.

Unfortunately, using quotes alone won't really help you stand out. You need to pair them with visual content.

Here are five tools that will help you do just that.

4-2-13: "The people that really succeed in life are those that don’t quit.” – Donald Trump. If you have a vision don't give up on trying to make it a reality. This is true of entrepreneurship, change management and successful leadership. Do your homework, develop a plan, formulate a strategy, create the right relationships. Understand that their will bumps in the road in life and in business, it's just the nature of the game. Keep learning, reevaluate as needed, course correct if necessary, innovate and keep on moving full steam ahead."
