Not a fan based on my children's experience with the whole thing. It does not work the way it states. The classroom becomes a time of reteaching what was supposedly learned from the video the night before. The flipped classroom needs an incredible amount of training with highly skilled, and motivated teachers. I am not a fan.

Am always interested in the student (and parent) voice! Thank you for that insight D Cashmore. I tend to agree with your view on the skill needed to implement an experiential cycle of learning that is effective for the students' learning.

Why Teaching Helps Students Learn More Deeply

Why Teaching Helps Students Learn More Deeply | Two Year Colleges | Scoop.it

Students enlisted to tutor others, these researchers have found, work harder to understand the material, recall it more accurately and apply it more effectively. In a phenomenon that scientists have dubbed “the protégé effect,” student teachers score higher on tests than pupils who are learning only for their own sake.

Apple designed iOS to be intuitive. There’s no user manual in the box, and I’m sure Apple reps would argue that it doesn’t need one. Most of the device’s functionality is easy to access with a few taps or swipes, once you know how.
