If you don't watch Mad Men for Peggy Olsen, I don't understand a thing about you. Her drive, humanity, and burgeoning confidence are the only constantly compelling part of the series. There's simply no way you can care about Don's Megan woes or Pete's flings with Gilmore Girls alums. Elisabeth Moss brings such an august and lived-in feel to Peggy, a character whose ambitions and insecurities evolve and shift so wonderfully as the seasons progress. As of yet, no Mad Men regular has garnered an Emmy, and I think Ms. Moss should be the first to break the seal. After all, this may have been her final season on the show. Give it up, Emmys.
