Parks and Rec renewed:  

"The comedy, starring Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, will return for a sixth season. With the series on the bubble, NBC's decision to renew "Parks and Recreation," which is beloved by viewers and critics alike, had the cast celebrating."

Once Upon a Time Finale preview: 

"It’s going to be very interesting for people to see Hook in Neverland and see [cocreators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz's] take on Neverland, because as you can tell from the way they’ve set up the other characters from other stories, everything’s not as it seems. As we know, [today's] Captain Hook is very different than Hook from before. For Hook, going to Neverland — as we saw in the “Crocodile” episode — was very much about being able to take some time to figure out how to get his revenge on Rumpelstiltskin. That’s his reason for being there. But it’ll be interesting to see if and how he will interact with the Lost Boys or whomever in Neverland."

"Neil Patrick Harris will return as host for the 2013 Tony Awards.

"I'm very excited to be back hosting the Tony Awards at the legendary Radio City Music Hall. It'll be more impressive than ever - if my math is correct, it will be 267 times bigger than last year," Harris said in a statement. "Oh, wait. No, that can't... hold on... carry the one... I'm awful at math. But rest assured, the show will rock!"

Maisie Williams on Ayra's future (SPOILERS!!!): 

"Just because she’s not got Gendry anymore doesn’t mean she’s crumbling or anything. She’s as strong as ever." 

The end of Idol Dominance:

Both editions of "The Voice" on NBC and "Dancing With the Stars" on ABC had larger audiences than "Idol" last week, the Nielsen Co. said. "Idol" has been the most popular entertainment program in prime time for nine years running and appears likely to lose that perch this season.

"The Voice" had 14.2 million viewers last Monday and 12.8 million on Tuesday, Nielsen said. Its showing was more impressive among the 19- to 49-year-old viewers that NBC most actively seeks; the shows ranked No. 1 and 3 on that measurement last week.

"American Idol" had 12.5 million viewers on Wednesday and 11.4 million on Thursday, Nielsen said. Among the younger demographic, "Idol" outpaces "Dancing With the Stars."

John Oliver begins his stint as guest host of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart on Monday, June 10 at 11 PM. 

HBO renews VEEP

Maria Shriver back on NBC

After nearly a decade away, former California first lady Maria Shriver is returning to NBC News for a job where she will concentrate on the roles of women in American life.

Shriver on Tuesday was named a "special anchor" who will appear on various NBC programming, including CNBC, MSNBC and NBC Sports, and be an editor at large on women's issues for the network's digital properties. She had worked at NBC from 1986 to 2004, much of it on "Dateline NBC"

Marisa Zanuck is the latest among several of the cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who will not be returning for season 4. After Adrienne Maloof, Camille Grammer and Faye Resnick claimed that the decision to leave the show was their own, Marisa is quite open about why she won't be back.

"I wasn't asked back," Marisa told Celebuzz. "It's as simple as that and I'm okay with it."

Renewed: Chicago Fire, Grimm, Law & Order: SVU, Parenthood, Revolution, Hart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast, Two and a Half Men (though Angus T. Jones won’t return as a regular), Broadchurch

Sad news: Bomb Girls will not get a third season, though it will wrap up with a TV movie.

Psych has gotten an order for an additional five scripts for season eight, bringing it to thirteen.

News on canceled shows: Unaired episodes of Do No Harm will air Saturday nights starting June 29th. AndZero Hour episodes will also air Saturday nights starting June 15th.....

Cancellations and series pickup news: 

"Firstly, Joss Whedon's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is reportedly close to getting a series order. Meanwhile at NBC, Whitney, Up All Night, 1600 Penn, and Guys with Kids have all been canceled. Also in the cancellation department, Fox has nixed Kiefer Sutherland's Touch after two seasons, although there's now a rumor about 24 returning as a limited series. The CW has renewed The Carrie Diaries for a second season and Nikita for a fourth, also giving the green light to Reign (about Mary Queen of Scots at age fifteen), The 100 (a batch of juvenile delinquents are deployed to see if a post-apocalypse Earth can be re-inhabited), Tomorrow People (a teen boy has psychic powers; presented by The Vampire Diaries and Arrow folk), and Star-Crossed (formerly titledOxygen, about an alien boy in an American high school."

TVGuide gives Arrested Development fans some insight into the shows relaunch:  

"But when it comes to the Arrested story-telling you've come to know and love, get ready to say goodbye to these! Each episode of the fourth season — all of which will be available May 26 on Netflix —will follow a different member of the Bluth family over the same time period, with some scenes repeated from different perspectives."

TVGuide ask is Community worth saving: 

But nothing did because this is a TV show, not spaghetti, and it requires a bit more forethought. There was simply too much happening this season that went nowhere and ultimately, it lent an air of meaninglessness (and not in a cool "show about nothing" way like Seinfeld). Jeff's relationship with his dad, Abed's Manic Pixie love interest, Annie's infatuation with Jeff — did we get any closure to these issues? Did it affect the larger narrative or our characters' dispositions at all? Or were they simply empty plot devices to distract us from realizing that Community is now only a simulacrum of the show we once loved. (I'm leaning towards the latter.)

Community rises and Scandal beats out Idol: 

"ABC’s Scandal (8.9 mil/3.2) rose 23 percent week-to-week to hit an all-time high demo rating, building on itsGrey’s Anatomy lead-in (8.6 mil/2.9, down a tenth) and besting a Thursday American Idol for the first time ever."

Nikita and Carrie Diaries renewed:  

"Division may be dead, but Nikita is not: The CW has renewed the spy thriller for a shortened fourth (and likely final) season. The Carrie Diaries, meanwhile, has been greenlit for a second season."

Rectified renewed:

"Sundance Channel has renewed "Rectify," its great new drama about a Death Row inmate (Aden Young) unexpectedly released into a world he never expected to see again, for a second season, with 10 new episodes set to debut sometime in 2014. "

Downton Abbey will become more diverse in season 4:  

"Carr will play a jazz singer called Jack Ross, a charming and charismatic young man. He joins new cast members Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Tom Cullen, Julian Ovenden, Nigel Harman, Joanna David and Dame Harriet Walter who are all set to star in the fourth series."

Netflix losing titltes rappedly and possibly more to come:

Last month, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said he was considering not renewing a deal with Viacom Networks, which includes shows from MTV, VH1, and BET. If that deal runs out we could see more streaming videos disappearing by the end of May."

Pretty Little Liar fan favorite Tyler Blackburn leaving Rosewood for Ravenswood (Pretty Little Liar Spinoff):

The new series takes place in Ravenswood, a town near Liars‘ hometown of Rosewood PA, and revolves around five strangers who are connected by the curse that has plagued Ravenswood for generations. Caleb (Blackburn) will travel to Ravenswood in the third annual Liars Halloween special in October, which will be used to introduce Ravenswood and its inhabitants and launch the new series. Blackburn, repped by Gersh and James Feldman & Cynthia Farrelly Gesner, has been a PLL fan favorite. He has been on the hit drama since the end of the first season, upped to a regular after Season 2. He will appear in every episode of PLL‘s upcoming fourth season this summer before segueing to Ravenswood.

Farrah Abraham becomes a millionaire with her sex tape:

Hulu has record revenue and plans for original series:  

Hulu said today during its upfront presentation in New York that it set a revenue record in the first quarter of this year with $695M, and that Hulu Plussubscriptions passed 4 million subscribers after doubling in 2012.
