The Tuskegee airmen gather for a briefing in Italy during World war 2 in 1945. Notice in the picture there is not a single white person in the room. It is because the white people believed they was not as good as them and never would be. the tuskegee did just that but also over came racism during this point in time. The tuskegee airmen was tought their skills by the tuskegee institute in alabama. over time they became one of the most respected fighter groups in World war 2.

the tuskegee airmen was formed in 1941 in tuskegee alabama. they was trained by the army air corps for air combat. there was a couple different roles like pilots, navigators, bombardiers, maintinence and support staff, and also instructors. the tuskegee airmen become one of the most respected fighter groups in the us
