Vivit Chetry's insight:

This case study of Sri Lankan and Indian tropical grasslands displays various matter that help our studies toward finding out what exactly a Savanna includes. This case study displays relevancy, accuracy, authority, and purpose. This article gives the types of troical grasslands located in Sri Lanka and India and gives the factual statistics of these Savannas.  This article demonstrates how tropical grasslands can cause depletion for vegetation as well.

This article is not very current because it was updated in 2002, however, the information in this article is relevant to the tropical grassland biome because it references the savannah and the life within the savannah. Specifically, this article illustrates the ecosystem and goes in depth with the deductive reasoning (climate, wildlife, environmental concerns). This article has authority because it was published by credible sources - California grassland by Charles Webber © 2002 California Academy of Sciences. Savanna by Dr. Robert Thomas and Margaret Orr, © 1999 California Academy of Sciences. Colorado prairie by Dr. Robert Thomas and Margaret Orr © 2001 California Academy of Sciences. Because these are sources that have so much authority, the accuracy is something that automatically follows. Posted on the Berkeley Science website, this article is used as a reference for students and professors across the nation. The purpose of this article is to explain the ins and outs of the Tropical Grassland Biome.

This article is relevant and accurate because it gives the climate and other information about about tropical grasslands. Also, the information was given by a credible source, a well known college, so the information is accurate.

This article/journal displays instances of accuracy and relevancy. The study is based upon how African Safari's or Savanna's affect the environment. It displays the ecology that is located within the Savanna. This article explains how dense the tropical grasslands can lead up to or how it affects humans in a whole.

Authority- the site authour is Dr. Susan Woodward who taught biogeography for 20 years at Radford University.  She recieved a M.A.  in geography at the University of Arizona and a Ph. D. at UCLA.

I chose this Scoop because it is current, relevant, and accurate. This article was published in 2012, which is relatively current. The contents of this article are relevant as it has an excellent overview of the Tropical Grassland biome with information about its climate, location, animal life, and vegetation. Also, this article was written by Dr. Susan L. Woodward, who has taught biogeography at Radford University for more than 20 years. Woodward has a Ph.D and M.A from Princeton University and a B.A from the University of Minnesota. The website is administered by Dr. Andrew Foy, Assistant Professor of Geospatial Science at Radford University.

Vivit Chetry's insight:

This source of Savanna's differs from the previous posted on our scoopit. This source displays a carbon balance of Savannas primarily located in Northern Austrailia, which are predominantly the more arid climates. The journal states that the Savannas cover at least 16 million km's of land. The main importance of this article displays the carbon emissions and nitrogens released from Savannas as well. This article displays accuracy and relevancy from the further facts stated above.
