This issue is a good example of the total failure of the Abe government, and the selfishness of the older generations. Despite a horribly low birth rate there are not enough Nursery school teachers. Abe says he wants to help women in the work force, but in a female dominated industry he doesn't raise wages to where they should be. I love the line in the article "babies don't vote, grandparents do". The older generations don't want to see money going to education and they don't want noisy new schools built in their neighbourhoods.
