Liberal or Conservative, you have to agree with the NYT's editorial staff when they call out Holder as a hypocrite for speaking out loudly about the IRS investigation and refusing to talk about the AP spy scandal. First amendment be damned it seems.

Even with a "slower" paid subscription growth in the 1st quarter of 2013, the NYT's overall subscription revenue is 54% of the paper's overall revenue and climbing while advertising is only 40% and falling fast.

Politico has figured out that free doesn't pay. So they are applying the meter. It's a test in a few states and for international readers, but my guess is it'll soon be applied site-wide for everyone. Digital advertising dimes continue to shrink.
