Nice blog entry on a morning ride and breakfast on Ambergris Caye, Belize.

Sunday morning walks in San Pedro seem to very popular. Here is another version of an expats walk (with photos) along the southern end of Ambergris Caye.
"...Just past Victoria House as you walk south is the two mile sign post that basically marks the beginning of the Mosquito Coast. I love this area of Ambergris Caye. Mostly private houses, some resorts. This stretch, in my estimation, would an ideal place to live..." Delete the scoop?

The inside passage from Belize City to Guatemala is deep and wide and easy, SOUTH of Belize City. But running the inside passage to Ambergis Cay by going NORTH of Belize city is another story. Narrow passages, unmarked and shoaled up are a recipe for running aground. Delete the scoop?

Nice article on what families can do on Ambergris Caye.
"...Ambergris Caye is one of the largest, most visited islands in Belize. Most adults visit the island for the incredible diving and snorkeling that the Belize Barrier Reef offers, but what about activities for children, especially little kids? We’ve have lived here for 2 months with our 3 and 1 year old and have a few ideas of what to do with kids on Ambergris Caye. Many of these activities revolve around water, after-all, this is an island..." Delete the scoop?

Ahh, the chicken taco, another staple of Belizean local cuisine.
"Step off the main tourist strip to experience one of the cheapest, best little delights that we’ve discovered here in San Pedro, Belize. Tiny little makeshift stands are set up on the street. Behind stands a woman that looks like a sweet grandmother and she only sells one thing: chicken tacos..." Delete the scoop?

I've been asked by quite a few people since I visited Hopkins, Belize "how does it compare to San Pedro?" Would you recommend the Cayes or Hopkins? It's a hard question to answer. They are so many differences...size being the most obvious one. And I live in San Pedro and have done for almost 5 years. My visit to Hopkins was two days long. So take all of this with a grain of salt. Here are my opinions and observations. Delete the scoop?
