San Pedro is Belize's number one tourist destination. Follow along with an expat as she photographs the street scen on the way to buy lunch.

A nice photo montage by a San Pedro local on a morning walk on the island. Provides a little taste (non-marketing) of San Pedro.
"After two days of a sweaty fever, stuffiness, sleepless nights and a sore tongue (so weird but eating HURTS!) I decided to go outside this morning to get some fresh air and go to town for my rent money (yes...I am now 6 day late...how embarassing..."

"...Just past Victoria House as you walk south is the two mile sign post that basically marks the beginning of the Mosquito Coast. I love this area of Ambergris Caye. Mostly private houses, some resorts. This stretch, in my estimation, would an ideal place to live..." Delete the scoop?

Ahh, the chicken taco, another staple of Belizean local cuisine.
"Step off the main tourist strip to experience one of the cheapest, best little delights that we’ve discovered here in San Pedro, Belize. Tiny little makeshift stands are set up on the street. Behind stands a woman that looks like a sweet grandmother and she only sells one thing: chicken tacos..." Delete the scoop?

One of the things people do not always consider when moving to the tropics is routine maintenance. Here is an example – On Sunday I was looking for cooler to take to the beach and found many of the zippers were stuck. Delete the scoop?
