Being tasked with documenting Rachel Graham's shark tagging project at Lighthouse Atoll, Belize for the second year, I wanted to capture a closeup of how the tags look on the shark. Now remember, these sharks are first hooked, then restrained, measured and tagged, all the while struggling and thrashing to be free of lines and hands.

"I would like to take the opportunity to announce a rather new exciting addition to our existing airlift. As of December 21st, 2013, Delta Airlines will commence its year round non-stop service from Los Angeles to Belize City round trip. This service will be bookable as of May 25th and will make available 693 new seats to Belize each month. In the first instance this flight will be weekly on Saturdays but will give us the long sought after non-stop West Coast service. What is more it will allow for one stop same day service to Asia and Australia.

In 2009, my aunt was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. She battled and survived for 2 years, defying the next day death certificate that the doctors had given her. She was and still is a major part of me, and who I am as an artist. I wrote this song for her and she did a picture video for it...just like she had done with so many of my performances and songs before. Here you go....dedicated to Verna Gardiner Ewing and all those who batttle with cancer. I will always love you, auntie!!

Visibility was so bad at Lighthouse Reef during a recent exploratory trip, that I left my camera in the tender 50% of the time. Though the underwater topography was spectacular - caves, tunnels, pillars and vertical cliffs - the chances of capturing a worthy image was near null.
