Fuji X Pro 1 and VSCO pack 05…street photography Liverpool | Ian MacMichael

Fuji X Pro 1 and VSCO pack 05…street photography Liverpool | Ian MacMichael | Travel | Scoop.it

This week, I spent an hour or so around Liverpool City centre along with my Fuji X Pro 1 with the 18-55mm lens. Now, I’m a sucker for all things VSCO make and have had their film presets from pretty much when they first started with them. I was pleased to receive an email from them announcing that they had released Pack 05 with some classic mainstream films emulations. One of the main attractions for me was the inclusion of Kodak 400CN, one of my favorite films (currently in my Nikon FM2!) and a part of the Totally Rad Replichrome set. I have used the Replichrome emulation (and my version of it)  a lot recently, especially on weddings where we have used the Fuji X100s and the X Pro 1. Anyway, here are some images from the “photowalk” all edited with VSCO Pack 05 for Lightroom with a couple of my own tweaks added here and there, but not too many….

Hong Kong & Great Light | Derek Clark

Hong Kong & Great Light | Derek Clark | Travel | Scoop.it

It’s been five years since we were last in Hong Kong and it’s great to be back. We have a ten day stop over here (although two days will be spent in Macau), then it’s off to the Philippines to shoot the project for the NGO, which will appear on the Kage Collective site later in the year. I shot these with either the Fuji X100 or the X-E1 with the 18-55mm f2.8-f4 (more on this lens on a later post). At this point the X-Pro1 was still in the bag. Hong Kong is an amazing city with stunning archetecture and design. It’s a living, breathing, pulsating metropolis, a great place to be and an even better place for photography. I don’t think I’ve felt more at ease or safe,  even in the two cities where I shoot street the most in Scotland. Everyone should come to Hong Kong at least once in their life.....

Barcelona, perfect place for street photography | Nicole Struppert

Barcelona, perfect place for street photography | Nicole Struppert | Travel | Scoop.it

My year has just started from the photography point of view. After my shoulder surgery I am ready to travel again and explore new places. I thought it would be nice to share some insights about the places I travel. I try to give u the best tips for photography spots and other insights. So here is my first review on Barcelona. It was my second visit to Barcelona  - time was pretty tight, cause I spent just the weekend there but I tried to make the best out of it. I don't want to get into details about sightseeing places - I am sure this will be on your list when u travel anyway. I highly recommend the beach area of Barcelona. Best time is in the morning - then the place is not too crowded and there is already much to see. Young and older people are coming together for a chat, to bike, skate or just stroll around. This area is fantastic for street photographers - the light is incredible and a perfect spot to catch some nice shots or just have a drink and enjoy the surrounding. Don't miss to walk around the little streets next to the beach area. This area is incredible beautiful and reminded me a bit of Napoli in Italy.......
