A Complete Guide To Self-Publishing Comics: Comfort Love And Adam Withers Talk Shop, Plus Review | Transmedia: Storytelling for the Digital Age | Scoop.it
The Digital Rocking Chair's insight:

Michele Brittany:  "Comfort and Adam use the term “comics” to encompass comics, manga and webcomics. Obviously, if you are thinking and researching the self-publishing route, this book is for you. [...] This book is also for creative individuals who are not looking to self-publish. As a freelance writer of popular culture, this book armed me with comic book industry terminology and knowledge that I did not have before."

The Digital Rocking Chair's insight:

Brian Herrera:  "Developed over two decades in an array of coffee houses, theatre spaces, and radio stations in Austin, Texas, The Intergalactic Nemesis has evolved from an uncertain theatrical experiment to an epic, live-action, multimedia event—or, in the words of creator Jason Neulander, “independently-produced transmedia multiverse”—that has toured venues across the nation and the globe."

SXSW 2015 Re-Cap: “Game of Thrones” – Creating Immersive Entertainment | Transmedia: Storytelling for the Digital Age | Scoop.it
The Digital Rocking Chair's insight:

Christine Weitbrecht:  "Game of Thrones is unlike many others series in that it is on-air only for a few weeks each year, meaning that the show’s producers face a very particular dilemma: Keep fan passion and interest going for the rest of the year when other shows and content are competing for the fans’ attention."

Kajsa Hartig's curator insight, May 28, 2:36 PM

"...the producer’s creativity allowed them to run a campaign that was relatively simple in design, yet still brought about meaningful interactions even for the most involved super-fans;  interactions, that let fans live through important and magical experiences straight from the world of Game of Thrones. Interesting use of social media in storytelling. The creators of 'The Last Hours of Laura K' spent a crucial amount of time before the launch of the project creating online profiles to their characters and documenting Laura's last day on earth. Now it's the users' job to find the killer.

We do it so ass-backwards: we make a movie and we think it is so wonderful that people all over the world will come to see it.
