This is the tenth interview in an excellent series on "prominent figures from the world of transmedia."  The series starts with Should Filmmakers Learn to Code over at Filmmaker Magazine and includes interviews with:  Zeega (James Burns, Kara Oehler and Jesse Shapins); Elaine McMillion; Hugues Sweeney; Kamal Sinclair; Mark Harris; Brett Gaylor; Ingrid Kopp; Vivek Bald; Lance Weiler; Katerina Cizek; Fox Harrell; and Caspar Sonnen.

Two Pens's curator insight, May 13, 2013 3:34 PM

Transmedia is a weird term. It's also a new world that incorporates elements of traditional film-making, digital assets, photography, architectural drawings, you name it: all in service to story. It's fun but it

takes a whip to control all those elements into something that translates into more than the sum of its parts.

64 Google+ Content Strategies | Copyblogger | Storytelling Content Transmedia | Scoop.it

Google+ isn’t only a social network. It’s the very backbone (and future) of Google itself. As Brian Clark wrote yesterday, authorship and the possible effects on the Google algorithm have the potential to be extremely beneficial to savvy content creators. If you’re a writer, this is either going to be very good for your career, or you’ll risk becoming relatively invisible online.

If you’d like to land solidly in the former camp of writers, the question becomes one of how to use Google+ to further your own goals. With that in mind, I’ve put together an infographic for you that outlines 64 strategies that every writer and content producer can put into action, and start reaping the rewards of intelligently engaging with Google+....

Stampsy is a new iPad app for creating digital content. The steps are easy to follow - add images and text to your page using drag-and-drop method. Change colours or fonts, and design the page as you like.

The result you'll get is a linear presentation with great visual potential, perfect for storytelling purposes.

There is a small inconvenience though - you will need a Facebook account to use the application.

The app is free. Download it here https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stampsy/id582398120?mt=8

Stampsy is an interesting graphic tool currently for the iPad. It has a few necessry tools such as Headline, Text, Images, Colour Palette, Various Fonts, and best of all it is limited to 10 pages. If Powerpoints were limited to 10 pages I wonder how much real information would be lost? No doubt we'd see the important information. Check it out.

Reminds me of Led Zeppelin's _In Through the Out Door_ interior album jackets.  I realized a few years ago that story arc is particular to the character's point of view, and should be talked about in that way, so this really adds a dimension to the analysis that could help students imagine stories from multiple perspectives.

The poor translation makes reading this quite hard going. However, pages 11 - 22 contain some interesting analysis. The crux of this paper is that, within France, Social TV offers only a limited opportunity for advertisers. Currently, it is a niche market. Driving audiences towards social interactions means steering them away from the main screen towards second-screen devices. Moreover, the most obvious time for second-screen engagement is during commercial breaks. As such, broadcasters risk undermining their core ad sales and alienating their majority audience by trying to chase these early adopters.

What’s the next phase of Social Business? Collaboration

What’s the next phase of Social Business? That’s the question I’m frequently asked. Without a doubt, the next phase is the Collaborative Economy. What’s that? That’s where brands will rent, lend, provide subscriptions to products and services to customers, or even further, allow customers to lend, trade, or gift branded products or services to each other. This unstoppable trend is fueled by the social web, the specific features include relationships, online profiles, reputations, expressed needs and offerings and ecommerce. Customers are already starting to conduct these behaviors among themselves using TaskRabbit, AirBnb, Lyft, and many others tools –some of these are disruptions and opportunities to brands.
