Yes, games can be used to teach and assess 21st century skills! As the conversation in education reform moves forward, and educators are increasingly leveraging 21st century skills, we need to consider how to couple games with reform.
Games can make a difference - and they always have. It's a matter of being aware of what is out there.. .. and putting the potential skills to creative use.

and when I say this most people say 'but I like to learn', and they obviously missed the point... think pre-language humans / post-language humans, we will take for granted that everyone masters our language, id est the sum of all human knowledge.

Of course, it should be in system should be synced, but not as a whole. Partially, the system can be implemented. In my point of view it is must to adopt the advancement. Avoiding the thinking of classroom, the system must understand about the participation of the student. Delete the scoop?

I can see that this could be very useful but it is harder to understand as I am not into gaming at all. It it another skill I need to acquire?

I'm not sure we all need to be gamers, but we do all need to be aware of how they are being used.. successfully as well as the potential downfalls.

I agree, I've always found that in order to understand something you have to explore. It's like everything new you can't criticise it unless you've tried it. Time doesn't alway allow though :(

THE line that separates my mind from the Internet is getting blurry. This has been happening ever since I realized how often it feels as though I know something just because I can find it with Google. Technically, of course, I don’t know it. In March 2012, the MacArthur Foundation shared a set of design and learning principles that emerged from their Digital Media and Learning Initiative of which the NWP is a member. These design and learning principles, called "Connected Learning" are meant to support a proposal for a new approach to learning anchored in a rich history of teaching and learning research and theory.
