This YouTube clip outlines Erika Skiba’s (9th grade teacher) experience with integrating technology into her geography class. The clip highlights many important aspects technology can benefit classroom teaching and learning. Erika’s integration of iPads into her geography class showed many positive outcomes such as; students motivation and engagement to learn, iPads enabled students to learn in a way that connects with their individual learning styles (visual, kinaesthetic, reading, writing, auditory), student learning abilities were supported, student collaboration was promoted and connections between aspects of the curriculum (technology, ICTs, literacy and geography) were formed. This clip is an example of how technology is transforming classroom teaching and learning.
