Ohbori Somayaki pottery - Unique pottery from Northern Japan

My cousin gave me a couple of these beautiful tea cups when I visited with her and her mother in Seattle. 

 

Soma yaki pottery has quite a impressive history. Unfortunately the most recent tsunami was not kind to them.
