Traditional CRM vs. Social CRM | Inc. Technology | Traditional CRM vs. Social CRM | Scoop.it
Kirsty Adams's insight:

Brent Leary describes social CRM as a "much needed compliment" to tradtitional efforts, which in my opinion, is absolutely correct.  Small business have been experiencing a competitive disadvantage with regards to CRM until now, as traditional methods have generally been expensive and out of reach for this domain.  With the introduction of SCRM, small business now have th chance to compete with their larger rivals through mediums such as social media.  In my opinion, SCRM is making the business world much more exciting in terms of competitiveness as small players get to come out of the shadows and basque in the limelight for a change.

Is Social CRM a trend or a long lasting option to your mind?
Kirsty Adams's comment, May 17, 2013 3:53 AM
For me, social media is here to stay for a while, therefore as long as it is around, social CRM will be around. Of course technology will continue to evolve, so who knows what lies ahead in terms of CRM in the future. However, I feel that social CRM is a concrete enhancement to the traditional methods for the time being before technology forces it to develop further. What are your thoughts?
CRM explorer's comment, May 17, 2013 6:33 AM
I quite agree with you as it seems to be a global phenomenon and it talks to people who seek to fulfill a desperate need of belonging...However as it is time consuming and I see coming more and more social media, I am wondering how people will manage their time and implication :) Thanks for the answer!
