Vellum acts as a reading list  for your Twitter feed, finding all the links that are being shared by those you follow on Twitter and displaying them each with their full titles and descriptions.

This flips the Twitter model, treating the links as primary and the commentary as secondary (you can still see all the tweets about each link, but they are less prominent).

Vellum puts a spotlight on content, making it easy to find what you should read next.

Story Arcade

Story Arcade | Tracking Transmedia | Scoop.it

Digital tools are fundamentally changing how we create and share stories. For the Future of StoryTelling summit, we created an exhibit of some of the best examples of new ways we are finding to tell our stories. From crowdsourcing to location-based narrative, from augmented reality to adaptive games, we are becoming active participants of stories as we play, create, and share.

The Story Arcade discovers and celebrates new forms of expression that are now emerging—from tablet and smartphone apps to websites to games to entirely new technologies....

How To Create An iPhone Or Android App Without Any Coding Skills

How To Create An iPhone Or Android App Without Any Coding Skills | Tracking Transmedia | Scoop.it

Learning how to code and produce a basic iPhone or Android app is not a simple drag and drop process. While Apple’s Xcode helps lay down the foundation for building an iPhone app, it can take hours of coding and trial and error to produce a basic RSS feed or portfolio application.

But if you’re really eager to make a mobile app based on your website, business, organization, or just a fun quiz game, a website called Buzztouch may well be the web-based solution for you. Buzztouch is essentially Content Management Software for iOS and Android. It provides a template-based process in which you import your app’s information into the online software, and in turn it will create the code that you need to compile the data for your application. I gave a try and it does work....

12 Excellent, Free Screen Sharing & Remote Access Tools You Haven’t Heard Of Yet

12 Excellent, Free Screen Sharing & Remote Access Tools You Haven’t Heard Of Yet | Tracking Transmedia | Scoop.it

Are you constantly being asked for computer help? Or perhaps you’re the one doing the asking. Either way, seeing and controlling screens remotely can save time and confusion on both ends.  Remote access programs aren’t just for helping someone or being helped with a computer problem, they can also be very beneficial in assisting in holding meetings over the computer without actually meeting in person.

We at MakeUseOf have covered article after article about remote access and screen sharing applications, but I’m going to consolidate some of the potentially less common ones that you may not have heard of. We have all likely heard of the popular programs in the game - TeamViewer and LogMeIn....

Create Your Own Smartphone App With Infinite Monkeys – No Coding Knowledge Required

Create Your Own Smartphone App With Infinite Monkeys – No Coding Knowledge Required | Tracking Transmedia | Scoop.it
It would be great if we all had the time, skills, and patience to learn computer coding, especially since technology pervades so many areas of our life.

Infinite Monkeys is a a web-based tool geared toward niche communities who want to share content on the iPhone and Android platforms. Infinite Monkeys is not as polished theme wise as Buzztouch, but unlike the latter, Infinite Monkeys, says the developers, “Is completely web-based, and works on any computer or tablet device. You never touch the source code and don’t have to know what it is or how it works.” There are several other differences that also might make Infinite Monkey more accessible to non-programmers than Buzztouch. But you’re free to explore both and see which fits your needs.

Web-based GUI

Infinite Monkeys’ web-based graphic user interface allows users to incorporate existing web content from social networking sites like Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, and blogging sites....
