Quote "It’s two weeks beforeHenry’s July 28 premiere, and the creative brain-trust of Story Studio is huddled in a dimly lit room (they do meditation in here in the mornings). Ramiro Lopez Dau, the director, is wearing the latest prototype of Oculus’ headset and watching the current version ofHenry—something he’s seen dozens of times. His supervising technical director, Max Planck, is at a computer console, his shoes off; he’s watching the feeds going into both of Lopez Dau’s eyes, while the handful of other employees in the room watch Planck’s display and point out glitches. A ladybug shows up in the wrong color? That’s a Post-it. One of Henry’s eyes looks wonky? That’s another."

21 Social Media Experts that You Need to Follow via Twitter

21 Social Media Experts that You Need to Follow via Twitter | Tourism Storytelling, Social Media and Mobile | Scoop.it

Larry Kim from Inc.com  has been on my reading radar for some time.  Earlier this week he put out another one of his famous (ok maybe not famous but certainly note-worthy) lists of who’s who.

Kim explains that he spends about an hour a day scanning social networks, blogs, catching up on industry news and participating in Twitter chats.  From that time he has compiled a list of 21 social media marketing experts that in his opinion should be followed.

Why not?  In my experience those in our genre have at the very least tips, lessons and war stories that they are willing to share with others.  So go for it… it’s a free ticket to some insider education.See his list below...

4 Businesses That Are Doing Content Marketing Like a Boss (and How You Can Do It Too)

4 Businesses That Are Doing Content Marketing Like a Boss (and How You Can Do It Too) | Tourism Storytelling, Social Media and Mobile | Scoop.it
Some businesses are just flat-out good when it comes to content marketing. These are the businesses that basically define what content marketing is, how it looks, and how people respond.

What makes these businesses so awesome?

We need to make sure that we acknowledge a few simple things. Many of the companies that do awesome things with their content marketing also have other things going for them, such as:

A trending product or huge consumer interestA cool nicheWell-known brand evangelistsExperienced thought leadersProfessional content marketing leadersA lot of moneyYou may be in a niche that is tiny, unsexy, and downright boring. You may have zero in-house talent and no budget.
So, the question is, can you still do content marketing like a boss?

The answer is yes. I’m going to give you a takeaway from each of these four organizations. To even the playing field, I’ve selected small, big, B2C, and B2B businesses. You’ll find something that fits your approach and some serious insight that will take your content marketing to the next level.

Lean, agile, iterative… we’re all trying to work smarter and faster.

Designers of games for learning and change are under the same hurry-up pressure, but with games inherently complex and arguably more so with an underlying intention to impact players, accelerating the pace of game design is tough.

That’s why we developed the Game Design Canvas — a tool for lean, agile game design that renders the essence of your concept on a single page, to make testing, validating and communicating the concept faster and easier.

No More Tricks: 5 Ways to Create Content That Google Wants to Rank

No More Tricks: 5 Ways to Create Content That Google Wants to Rank | Tourism Storytelling, Social Media and Mobile | Scoop.it

Google in particular has made incredible strides in the last few years. Recently, there was a huge Phantom update that caused huge shifts in rankings. This update was the result of Google changing its core algorithm once again. It’s only going to keep improving from here.

I know that some of you are frustrated and angry because of those changes. It sucks if your traffic declines because your pages now rank lower.

I understand that, but in all honesty, does your content deserve to be #1?It probably doesn’t. Maybe it did before, and maybe it got surpassed. Regardless of why, the good news is that you can get your rankings back.

How? Create the best damn content out there. There are no secrets at this point.

Considering organic search still makes up about 64% of referral traffic, it’s worth it....
