Elements of personalisation are creeping into online travel sites as demonstrated by a recent study by eDigitalResearch. The eTravel Benchmark looks at the digital travel experience across a number of criteria including first impressions, search, booking process and design and usability. Booking.com came out on top for the fifth time running for its performance across all channels - desktop, mobile and mobile application. According to the survey, personalised digital experiences are a growing trend although most consumers aren't really aware that content is personalised with only 20 per cent recognising these features. Avoir un site web est devenu une réalité incontournable pour toute entreprise dans le monde commercial d’aujourd’hui. Pour certains, le site devra être transactionnel alors que pour d’autre la priorité sera de miser sur le volet relationnel via les médias sociaux et/ou l’envoi régulier d’une infolettre électronique. Une chose est sûre: le consommateur a des attentes qui ont évolué avec le temps, et on ne peut plus se contenter de regarder passer la parade. On doit le comprendre si on veut pouvoir répondre à ces attentes.

Travellers start picking brands based on mobile services

Travellers start picking brands based on mobile services | Tourisme Tendances | Scoop.it

A study has found that one in five travellers would always pick a travel brand over another if it meant they could have a better mobile experience. The analysis, conducted by Apteligent, carried out by way of a global survey of travellers, found around 70% would sometimes select a company if it had superior mobile capabilities. Only 9% never considered the mobile prowess of a brand based on its mobile provision. These data points align with other recently releases studies, in terms of the expectations that many consumers now have, such as that from TripAdvisor which found that over one-third of travellers wanted a hotel to offer mobile check-in. Core to what constitutes a good mobile experience can be found in three elements: load times for content and functionality (86%), simple payment process (71%) and easy navigation (63%).
