Tourisme: Les programmes de fidélisation ont perdu de leur attrait - L'Echo Touristique

Le constat . Le scepticisme grandissant des voyageurs d'affaires sur l'intérêt des programmes de fidélisation jugés trop complexes et peu attrayants. Le contexte. Le bouleversement des comportements d'achats à cause d'Internet : les voyageurs deviennent versatiles et leurs employeurs vigilants sur les dépenses. Enjeux. La nécessité pour les émetteurs de programmes de les repenser et de les ajuster pour viser au plus juste sans mettre en péril leurs marges.

 

Les grands programmes de fidélisation à points des transporteurs, hôteliers, loueurs de voitures ont profité à des générations de voyageurs. Aujourd'hui, ils font moins fantasmer. Un sondage réalisé en octobre par Travelzoo relevait que 40 % des voyageurs n'en avaient aucun et que la moitié de ceux qui en avaient n'utilisaient pas leurs points. Même rapporté aux seuls voyageurs d'affaires, qu'ils visent en réalité, leur attractivité dégringole.

Uber is the most widely used ride-hailing service in 108 countries around the world, according to new data from SimilarWeb.
The analysis by the digital measurement company examined services in 171 countries and confirmed Uber’s dominance in more than 100 of the markets.

Intel’s new virtual reality headset doesn’t tether you to a computer

The companies that brought the world the PC boom have a plan to trigger a similar explosion in virtual-reality hardware.

Intel and Microsoft announced Tuesday that they are working together to help computer manufacturers get into the business of making stand-alone VR headsets. Today that market essentially consists of just two products, Facebook’s Oculus Rift  and the competing Vive from phone company HTC.

A recent survey* conducted by David Binder Research shows that Americans nationwide support the sharing economy, support Airbnb, and want fair rules that support home sharing in their community. Americans understand the benefits of the sharing economy and want a President who embraces innovation.

Further, millennials aged 18 to 35 years old understand the benefits of the sharing economy even better, and are even more supportive of Airbnb and the sharing economy. This includes an oversample of millennials in swing states (NH, PA, VA, NC, FL, OH, WI, MI, MN, IA, CO, NV, AZ and GA).

90 Prozent der Familien bleiben in Europa

Die Zahl der Ferienaufenthalte mit Kindern unter 15 Jahren ist im europäischen Durchschnitt in den vergangenen zehn Jahren um rund zwei Prozent pro Jahr gestiegen. 2015 haben Europäer rund 78 Millionen Familienferien ins Ausland unternommen und auf diesen Reisen insgesamt 640 Millionen Nächte verbracht. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt eine Auswertung des World Travel Monitors, der im Auftrag der ITB Berlin durchgeführt wurde.

Most travelers today are women, and the industry may finally be catching on

There are more and more women who are independent, who have lucrative careers or never got into a marriage, and more and more of them are traveling.
Nearly two-thirds of travelers today are women, reports the George Washington University School of Business. Women also comprise 54 percent of coveted affluent travelers with annual incomes of $250,000 or more, up from 42 percent in 2010, according to the travel and hospitality marketing firm MMGY Global.
