Kwok Sum Yue's curator insight, May 19, 2016 12:00 PM
with the increase of the use of social media by people around the world e.g. facebook, it is not surprise that these kind of social media will be used as a online travel booking medium. people all share their stories on facebook nowadays and that gives a good platform for people to review their experience at a particular hotel or places. and more people can have access to these good or bad reviews as there are so much people on facebook, 'world of mouth' will be spread in a much quicker way than traditionally

moreover with all the different function on facebook, it allows travel booking website to do their marketing in a lot of ways such as sending out vouchers or putting their ads on facebook

More people are running to charity tube to post free videos and watch free videos than posting on you tube. Try posting at charity tube and you will never leave. http://www.africatube.net/ More visitors and more video views. Don't take our word for it, try it. Post one same video on youtube and put it on  http://www.africatube.net/ and return ater five hours and compare the viewers rate and decide for yourself. Create your very own group or forum and control who watch it and invite everyone to watch the video. Above all, post video in English or in any language and viewers can watch video description in their own language. Try it and let us know your experience. Above all it is absolutely free like youtube

How Facebook is Shaping Your 2012 Travel Decisions - Forbes | Tourism Social Media | Scoop.it

"Believe it or not, Facebook may help you plan your next trip.  Recent studies reveal that what matters most when planning a trip is notwhere you’re going, but rather who you know that has already traveled to that destination.  Without a doubt, the ubiquitous marketing tool’s unique brand interaction is setting a new beat to the travel pulse."

Facebook's head of travel reveals how brands are winning on the platform | Tourism Social Media | Scoop.it

The travel industry has been at the centre of Facebook's advertising growth during the past year and despite market concerns over Facebook's statements that the uptick in its advertising revenue will decelerate in the future, Facebook expects its investment in travel to keep trending up in 2017. Facebook has had a pivotal year in the travel industry - from its new ad products and video platforms to the company's continued foray into virtual reality. This Skift interview with Facebook's Head of Travel, Christine Warner, discusses Facebook's role in travel inspiration and planning, why it's important to get the 'brilliant basics' right when it comes to mobile and what the company has learned from its new products, in addition to where those are headed in 2017. Smart brands know how to integrate thier campaigns acorss a wider Audience & this case study is a fine example of that.

Four Season not only use fashion bloggers but succeed in making a standard prize seem all the more appealing when targetted to a specific aspirational fashion conscious audience.

With a plethora of brands running contests on facebook it is vital to think outside your immediate Facebook community to deliver better results as more competition has meant lots of brands whilst offering attractive prizes simply aren't getting the same results they were 12 months ago.
