Learnclick makes creating online tests quick and easy

Learnclick makes creating online tests quick and easy | Tools for Learners | Scoop.it

At http://www.learnclick.com it is very simple to create quizzes. For gap-filling exercises (so-called cloze tests) you just mark the words with your mouse. Learnclick.com also lets you generate drag & drop, drop down and matching exercises. You can insert images, video and sound into your quizzes. Share the quizzes with your students and view detailed statistics on how well your students performed. It is the ideal tool for language teachers.

Nik Peachey's insight:

Learnclick is a really useful site for teachers. I reviewed it back in 2012 (http://www.quickshout.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/create-interactive-cloze-texts.html), but they have been quite a lot of work since then, so well worth revisiting.

Philip's comment, May 16, 9:41 PM
@Christine: Even so, it's very affordable ($19/y is less than $2 a month). It not being free might actually be a good thing, since you get good support with your subscription and we can pay our bills, so the product will not get closed down anytime soon. Easy online dot voting

Easy online dot voting | Tools for Learners | Scoop.it
Nik Peachey's insight:

This is a very simple to use web based voting tool. Great way to get instant feedback during lessons or training sessions. It doesn't require any registration and can be set up on the fly in just a few minutes

Leslie Buford's curator insight, May 10, 10:05 AM

The voting 'eggs' in the suitcase, where each needed to be programmed, are obsolete.  Students and teachers can use their web devices to quickly set up polls and other interactive feedback quickly and easily with web based options, of which this is one of the simplest.  For iPad users, check out NearPod, Socrative, or Doceri, each with its own feature ist, to see which works best for you!  It can be difficult to move from traditonal modes of presentation to building interaction into instruction, but I am trying to plan future PD courses using this type of technology.  I would love feedback from teachers and professional development specialists about what works, pitfalls to look out for, and any other resources that you may suggest.

Developing Your Digital Study Skills

Developing Your Digital Study Skills | Tools for Learners | Scoop.it

Making the move from our safe and trusted traditional literacy habits to newer digital skills can be quite a challenge, but as teachers I think we are really unlikely to be able to use technology and help our students use technology really effectively unless we are prepared to face this challenge. Technology needs to be more than part of the way we teach but it also has to be part of the way we ourselves continue to learn and part of our everyday professional practice.

Nik Peachey's insight:

This is a great tool for note taking on digital texts.
