How to Use Social Media as a Learning Tool in the Classroom | Edudemic

How to Use Social Media as a Learning Tool in the Classroom | Edudemic | Tech Cadre Corner | Scoop.it

Social media is an ingrained part of today’s society. Our students are constantly on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and likely many sites we’re not hip enough to know about, and by reading this blog, you’re interacting with social media at this very moment. If you want to bring the “real world” into the classroom, consider integrating social media into your lessons

Cindy Powell's insight:

From Classroom Tech Infusion TCC 5-2

Even though social media is completely restricted in some dis tricts this post offers some justification for change...but more than that it may be that some of the uses are adaptable to Learning Management Systems, too. The premise from the author that students using familiar tools bridges the divide isn't extended by the substitution, but sometimes our choices are limited.
