Plickers Response Cards

Plickers Response Cards | Tech Cadre Corner | Scoop.it

Plickers is a powerfully simple tool that lets teachers collect real-time formative assessment data without the need for student devices

Cindy Powell's insight:

From Cindy's Links & Sidebar TCC 5-4

I learned about this site from two teachers at Scranton Elementary School in our district. Students get a card, you scan their answers with your Android (at the moment iOs App is in transition) device. The website allows you to print cards, but you can get some durable ones at Amazon. Very cool and easy.

Living the Dream: 100 Acts of Kindness

After studying about Martin Luther King, Jr. and what he believed in, students need the chance to apply those lessons. Students count the days between Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Valentine’s Day and are challenged to complete 100 acts of kindness during that time.

5 Steps to Sharing a Copy of a Google Form - Teacher Tech

5 Steps to Sharing a Copy of a Google Form - Teacher Tech | Tech Cadre Corner | Scoop.it
To copy Google Form you need to make sure the Form is in a viewable folder. Change the edit link from /edit to /copy. Share the link.
Cindy Powell's insight:
From Classroom Tech Infusion TCC 7-4
This month's emphasis is still on collaboration and creativity, but we are going in a different direction with collection of others' ideas. Google Forms is a time-saving tool for teachers with quizzes or formative assessments which need correcting...with the add-on Fluberoo your work is done, organized, and ready to analyze. It also allows for easy feedback.
But you can Flip a lesson with the question choices leading to different places where understanding can be shored up at the level needed; students can write a story that allows readers to choose the story's events; or you can spice up an assessment by using a Form per question and QR codes to allow some movement in the room (still grades each for you)
Alice is pointing out here how to allow others to "borrow" your Form, but not your data. The poster/infographic comes from Google Drawings...

Each video is suitable either for showing in class or for having students watch on their own, and they're appropriate both for middle school students and for AP Lang students who need a refresher! The series covers parts of speech, parts of the sentence, phrases, clauses, and sentence types. Most videos include both my own examples and examples from literature, as well as opportunities to pause the video and analyze the example. Also, for teachers and students who want additional resources, each blog post accompanying the videos contains a long list of helpful links from around the web. Go check it out!" That's exactly what Carla Jefferson and Rhett Hughes of Darlington County Schools in South Carolina have been doing. They shared with others how to do this at Ed Tech/Myrtle Beach in early November.
Sharing this slightly local but very funny broadcast of tech tips, teacher shout outs, announcements and interesting interaction.
