UF: Newly discovered tiger shark migration pattern might explain attacks near Hawaii » News » University of Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- The migration of mature female tiger sharks during late summer and fall to the main Hawaiian Islands, presumably to give birth, could provide insight into attacks in that area, according to a University of Florida scientist.

Shark Scavenging and Predation of Sea turtles in Northeastern Brazil

Shark Scavenging and Predation on Sea Turtles in Northeastern Brazil

Tierney Twing's insight:

This is talking about how the tiger shark affects the creatures around them and specifically the sea turtle. They talk about how the tiger shark takes over the world of the sea turtle and how they coexist together. This would really help my paper because it gives specific examples of how they interact with the marine animals around them

Migration of Tiger Sharks Across the Coral Sea

Migration of Tiger Sharks across the Coral Sea

Tierney Twing's insight:

This talks about the migration patterns of the tiger sharks and looks at how that affects the migration or living of all the smaller marine animals who share the ocean space with them. They look at how long the sharks stay in one space at a time there reasoning behind this. I think it will be very helpful in my final because it shows how the tiger sharks affects the rest of the ocean.
