The Grid: Web design fueled by Artificial Intelligence

The Grid: Web design fueled by Artificial Intelligence | Think About It! | Scoop.it

This is not another do-it-yourself website builder. The Grid harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to take everything you throw at it - videos, images, text, urls and more - and automatically shape them into a custom website unique to you. As your needs grow, it evolves with you, effortlessly adapting to your needs. Want to add e-commerce? Social feeds? A different layout? The Grid just takes care of it. This is not a website builder. This is your personal AI web developer. Its first masterpiece is the website you're looking at right now. Its next one could be yours....

How Your Brain Understands Visual Language

How Your Brain Understands Visual Language | Think About It! | Scoop.it
The word "imagination" definitely suggests that we can also think in images. Visual language is defined as a system of communication using visual elements. The term visual language in relation to vision describes the perception, comprehension, and production of visible signs. Just as people can verbalize their thinking, they can visualize it. A diagram, a map, and a painting are all examples of uses of visual language. Its structural units include line, shape, color, form, motion, texture, pattern, direction, orientation, scale, angle, space, and proportion.

Computational thinking an essential skill for next-generation — Jessica Tan

Over the past few decades, technology has radically transformed how we work and play. Automation has changed entire industries and the Internet has revolutionised the way we access information and make decisions. The imminent reality is that our world will only come to depend more and more on technology — jobs will become increasingly skills-biased, and as a result, the workforce of tomorrow not only has to work productively with technology, they will also have to have a firm grasp on how technology works.

This is especially true for Singapore — where we have embarked on a mission to become the first Smart Nation in the world. More so than other nations, we have an urgent and critical need to develop computational thinking as a national capability to lay the foundational building blocks to realise this goal. After all, a large part of being a Smart Nation is about leveraging new technologies to solve problems and improve the lives of our people.

I would also add Co-Creating - more often we - 'the adults' think of ourselves as those who just consume whatever is making the rounds online - we hardly ever really contribute - sometimes it's the fear of having work which is criticised that may stop us. But being digital literate is also about putting your work out there, sharing it, and letting the crowds make something worth while out of it. Co-creation is a wonderful way of starting digitally literate and critical communities who are not passive but who are active contributors in the digital society.

How to combine Design Thinking and Agile in practice - Startup Study Group - Medium

“Innovation is no longer just about new technology per se. It is about new models of organisation. Millennial Schmillennial | immediate future

Millennial Schmillennial | immediate future | Think About It! | Scoop.it

It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, if you are consuming content online hardly a day goes by without someone somewhere dropping the “M” word.

Millennial.

“How millennial are you?”; “The Millennials Are Coming”; “10 Surprising Habits of Millennial Art Collectors”; and “3 Insights To Help Your Millennial Marketing Strategy Succeed”; are typical headlines that somehow find their way into everything.

Millennials are a hot topic for good reason. The estimated buying power of Millennials is around $1.3 trillion in the US and $10 trillion globally.

In the not-too-distant future, they will become the largest generation with the greatest combined purchasing power in human history.

It’s no wonder that brands are falling all over themselves, blinded by the dollar signs in their eyes, to try and figure out this audience.

This has led to the publication of countless pieces of content that offer helpful advice and endless Dos & Don’ts lists of what to do when trying to communicate with a Millennial audience.

It is for this reason that we need to step back and consider a few facts that everyone seems to be overlooking when it comes to Millennials....
