They were here and might return
Journeying the realms of virtu-reality where wo-man strives to decipher the conundrum........Note that: 1) may contain content inappropriate or scary for children. 2)In my ken, all beings thought of being gods are entities from other dimensions with supernatural powers way beyond regular human capacity. This made many people who experienced their presence misconcept them as gods, demi-gods, and.....Things are going to change when proportion of us evolves into 'luminous'

Chimaera, Chimera, Khimaira

Chimaera, Chimera, Khimaira | They were here and might return | Scoop.it

A fire-breathing creature, which, according to the Homeric poems, was of divine origin.

The fore part of her body was that of a lion, and the hind part that of a dragon, while the middle was that of a goat.

According to Hesiod, she was a daughter of Typhaon and Echidna, and had three heads, one of each of the three animals before mentioned, whence she is called trikephalos or trisômatos.

She was killed by Bellerophon, and Virgil places her together with other monsters at the entrance of Orcus.

Goatman

Goatman | They were here and might return | Scoop.it

Goatman is half-man, half-goat fierce cryptid.

While many consider this creature to be  the product of a modern urban legend, those who claim to have had a face to face encounter with this murderous monstrosity say that this horrific genetic aberration is all too real.....

Probably the goatman is a type of faun.

Compare with:

*Faun: One of a class of lustful rural beings, represented as a man with a goat's horns, ears, legs, and tail.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faun

*Satyr: Greek. A woodland creature depicted as having the pointed ears, legs, and short horns of a goat and a fondness for unrestrained revelry.
