Dhanu Kriya

The Bow Rocking Action must be done on a held-out breath. Although some benefits may be thought to be had by filling the abdominal portion of the lungs, the reverse is actually true. If the lungs are filled, the liver, pancreas and the spleen are pushed down below the level of the rib cage protection that naturally insures their safety from pressure, tension or blows. In modern man the diaphragm has become weak and easily spastic. The pancreas is enlarged because of our highly synthetic diet, and the spleen has become enlarged more than any other body organ because of constant abuse and infection. The gut organs are suffering from degeneration and the spleen particularly is vulnerable as it is an extremely delicate organ.

Bhastrika Pranayama (The Bellows Breath)Yoga For Beginners | Yoga For Beginners | thehealthytips | Scoop.it
In this Nasarga Bhastrika the breath is taken in and let out of the nostrils. Later in this course I will give you forms of doing the Bhastrika where the breath is alternated from nostril to nostril, as well as the Mukha Bhastrika, the Cleansing Breath. In Mukha Bhastrika, carbon dioxide is cleansed from the blood stream and the lungs. In the form of the bellows breath I will teach you in this lesson, the Pranayama has a good effect on the release of carbon dioxide, but is also a powerful curative breath. Indeed, this form of breathing is sometimes known as the “Healing Breath”

Yoga Notes:Excess fatsYoga For Beginners | Yoga For Beginners

Yoga Notes:Excess fatsYoga For Beginners | Yoga For Beginners | thehealthytips | Scoop.it
There is no doubt that the over consumption of fats has added to the health problems of man. The increased use of fried foods and the ability of the average person to buy and use excess animal products and by products has contributed to the raising of the cholesterol content of the blood. Cholesterol-coated blood vessels, high levels of cholesterol can create problems and is associated with the accumulation of fatty deposits inside of blood vessels, also leading to atherosclerosis and conditions ranging produce a death dealing condition where the circulating blood is not able to move freely and circulation is inspired. In combination with a diet of excess salt, arteriosclerosis or hardening of the arteries is a foregone conclusion. At one time we used to look for these degenerative arterial changes only in patients of advancing years. Now the condition is found in many patients in their late twenties and early thirties.

Yoga Articles: The RealizationYoga For Beginners | Yoga For Beginners | thehealthytips | Scoop.it

To contemplate, devote myself to introspection and listen inwards has been extremely valuable to me these past few months. I tend to go into the dark periods, especially during the winter and new year winter/spring. Always hard to accept this condition. But it will sometimes, not always, every year, but this winter was the time of depression to tap again. I dropped in and rode out the deep darkness that engulfed me. The lessons are many and valuable.

Yoga Article: Facing FactsYoga For Beginners | Yoga For Beginners

Yoga Article: Facing FactsYoga For Beginners | Yoga For Beginners | thehealthytips | Scoop.it
Rarely do we find anyone wise enough to see the relationship between the ways we live, think, act, respond, eat, sleep and play and our overall health pattern. Even eminent doctors disregard what I would consider to be basic rules of health. I have heard an eminent doctor say, ‘It doesn’t matter what you eat. Food has no effect on how you feel’, with such ignorance among-st those supposedly trained to care for our health, it is little wonder that the average man in the street sees no relationship between his life pattern and what happens to him, even to his health.

“Yoga” Real Relaxation | Yoga For Beginners

True relaxation is much misunderstood. To be free of tension is probably the closest definition we could use. This does not mean that we would have to lie down to relax. One can be relaxed, at their work, or relaxed at play. If you are a car driver, but relaxed, free of mental tension, you know that it is possible to drive lengthy distance without fatigue. But even the shortest trip, under tension is nerve wracking. Tension at work, play or study can ruin our day, while a relaxed frame of mind can help to quickly pass the time and create enjoyment for the emotions and further desire for a return to former events by the mind. The mind is put into a reminiscent reflective state by relaxed activity. This is why Yoga Asanas and Pranayama have such a beneficial effect on the release of tension and how and why it is possible to attain to deep states of relaxation following Yoga activity.

Sleep and Relaxation | Yoga For Beginners

Sleep and Relaxation | Yoga For Beginners | thehealthytips | Scoop.it

Sleep is nature’s natural relaxation. When we are tired and worn out, nature forces us to sleep so that the body has a chance to repair and replenish itself. Without sleep, we would keep the destructive side of metabolism at an all time high and eventually wear out the body much quicker than otherwise. Sleep produces a high anaboliccellular repair and replacement and as well, is healing to the emotions and the mind. Yet, it is possible to duplicate the relaxation and by meditation. What a boon to yoga enthusiasts that yoga offers an excellent way to heal and bless the body through yoga relaxation.
