TheBottomline- ManILoveThisAd- E TRADE Baby Save It Funny Commercial - YouTube

I always like the E Trade ads.  These ads are so funny and put together so well.  They combine humor and information well, just enough to plant the right bugs in your psyche.  A commercial that’s telling the truths about 401K’s is always a winner with me but to use the emphasis of blowing away your money by balling out of control (in a way that some fund managers are doing with some of their investors money #Lol.  I’m not sure everyone caught that part of the commercial).

This one here is a classic.  What’s was really funny is that they ran it during the Superbowl last year, when a lot of fund manager were balling out of control.   I love it.

TheBottomLine- It's all about how you handle a customer reaction commitment It will be the difference........ | TheBottomlineNow | Scoop.it

Getting Money- It’s all about making a commitment and your reactions to commitments

Most of the times when people decide to go into business many of the people around them look at prospective entrepreneurs like “Have you lost your mind”.  On the surface it may seem like they aren’t being supportive of your ideas but most of the time what they are really asking you is, “are really ready to commit to the turbulent world of entrepreneurship” (are you?).

Entrepreneurship will not only challenge your commitment but it will also challenge you when you have to adjust to a customer’s commitment.  You see at the end of the day how you handle how your customers reactions and commitment to your product or services may very well determine whether you succeed or fail.   You being committed is important but how you handle customer reactions will be the foundation of your success.

For instance, if a potential customer’s reaction commitment to your product is “I don’t know”, then you must recognize that you may have been lax of your research as to your customers wants or needs, you were so busy selling you never figured out why and what they were really buying.  When I had my detail shop I constantly asked my employees what they were selling.  Many said “A clean car” which was wrong.  I would have to remind them that what we sell is time and comfort.  1. The customer was able to utilize their time better by utilizing our mobile wash (especially realtors and body shops) and 2.  the customers feeling of comfort and confidence of having a car that was as shiny as a new penny.  You see we sold the reaction and therefore we achieved the commitment and in doing that it was easy to be comfortable with our commitment to the venture.

Theme EFR-Business Week 2014 - Sustain your excellence - YouTube

This is a well drawn out excellence path model that I found on you tube.  It's simple and not over explained.  In watching it, it dawned on me how so many people never even attempt to strive for excellence.  Many just do just enough to get by.  Your path, your decisions and how you react and maintenence your choices are keys to your success.

December 18th 2013 CNBC Mad Money Jim Cramer Stock Market Show Opening - YouTube

The Bottomline is that Ben Bernanke did an amazing job in spite of all of Washington'spolitical BS.  When he made mistakes, he didn't make excuses he adjusted (which is a rare trait of execution in Washington).  He kept interest rates low and at the risk of inflation he at least put a board down in the ditch to help America out of the ditched we fell in due to the mortgage and lending debacles.  Mr Bernanke, you did you're job and Thats TheBottomline

TheBottomLine- Are you a MakeMoneyPerson or are you “Just Trying To Get Paid”

TheBottomLine- Are you a MakeMoneyPerson or are you “Just Trying To Get Paid” | TheBottomlineNow | Scoop.it

Are you a MakeMoneyPerson or are you “Just Trying To Get Paid”

You know I come across a lot of people who say “I just trying to get paid”.  Now when I hear this what never follows that statement is how they are going to do get paid.  Making money is definitely a mental state, as a matter a fact it can become such a mental state that it can become all consuming mentally (watch out for that, life balance is important).

When I hear “I’m just trying to get paid”, I ask myself then are you,  and if not why?  You see people who are getting money never say that because they are not trying to do anything, they’ve already figured out how to get paid.  Getting paid is easy, so if you didn’t know here’s a clue.  Here it is  “have what someone who is willing to pay for it wants”.  Now to some of these smart folks out there, they’ll say “we’ll Reggie you’re oversimplifying this process” and I’ll say that because it’s not that complex.  Have what someone that will pay for something wants and make sure they have a pleasant experience getting it.  It’s that simple.

Really it is.  Just because you think it’s the greatest idea doesn’t mean that it’s a market solution (oh there I go acting like one of those smart people, my bad).  Basically, make sure you have identified the true market wants before you start selling the market WHAT it wants.

You see a MoneyMakingPerson has already identified what the market wants are and have created market paths to deliver it.  When you do this you will go from being a “I’m trying to get paid person” to an “I’mGettingPaidPerson”.
