The Acropolis (from the Greek acros, meaning high or upper and polis, meaning ''city) of Athens is a steep-sided hill supporting several temples, precincts, and other buildings. Archaeological evidence indicates it has been used since Neolithic times and that even then, as the numerous female figurines found there suggest, it was associated with female power. Although it had evidently used also as a defensible place of refuge since the Bronze Age, it appears nonetheless to have been a sacred site at all times.

This article goes really in depth in the way the Spartans built their buildings and gave us an idea of how Spartans actually lived. They go into their simple way of constructing their homes with dirt bricks and courtyards in the middle of properties. They compared their living style to that of Greek farmers. The Spartans were all about skill and being able to survive so there construction really reflected their way of constructing buildings.

a group of student went to Greek and visiting an architecture that look like a maze, they mention the archaeologist Arthur Evan found a labyrinth and thought it was the place king Minos keep minotaur and 7 male and 7 female was feed to him during 2000-1300 bc
