I don't think I would call it a marketing strategy. What it is is good business, when you stop listening to your community which can be made up of current customers, customers to be and customers you need to win back you are failing your business.

When I started teaching social media 101 classes, I certainly did not consider myself an expert. Actually, I still do not see myself as such. I just like the idea of sharing the few things I know well with my audience.

There are many ways to become a reliable source in your industry. Teaching by sharing your human journey is one of them!

And as Belle Beth Cooper mentions, you sometimes understand things better when you explain them to people!

     Instagram, with it's 75 million daily users, can be very beneficial to use for marketing today. It focuses on visual content, which is processed 60,000 times faster by the brain than text. Today, 59% of big brands are using social media in their marketing campaigns. According to the article, there are 5 steps to make sure you are making the most of Instagram marketing. The first way is to make sure the profile is set up properly by having a good bio and including the website url. Second, is to utilize hashtags with relevant content. Third, is to share valuable content that shows a fun side, typically things related to the brand. You can also include company events or photos of the staff. Fourth is to include some videos in the profile. It can capture followers' attention if the content is interesting. Lastly, follow and engage prospects. If you search hashtags, you can locate your target audience members. All these things could be a great way to increase brand awareness and gain followers to your company!

90% of the information transmitted to the brain is visual and visuals are processed 60,000X faster in the brain than text… this explains why I am a much better visual learner and also why I, like 75 million other active daily users, prefer Instagram to any other social media platform. Instagram has been out for 4 years now and 59% of big brands are active on this social platform. This is a great way to allow brands to be creative with their marketing campaigns such as contests, promotions, how-to videos and made-for-Instagram commercials. Kelly Shepsko has recommended 5 tips for the best ways to utilize your Instagram. She started with setting up and optimizing your profile properly. Next, she recommended utilizing hashtags for every post as a way to categorize your content for users to easily sort through and discover. The third recommendation was to share valuable content while showing off your fun side. This is a good way to let your creativity shine. Fourth would be to incorporate videos. It’s a good way to engage your followers in 15 seconds which also enhances creativity. Lastly would be to follow and engage your prospects. Social media is interactive so you can increase followers by following others and engage in their content.
