A NEW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN TARC | Aerospace Industries Association | The state of STEM | Scoop.it

AmSafe® Industries, Inc. today unveiled a new scholarship program at the Team America Rocketry Challenge (“TARC”). Established in the honor of Brendan M. Kutler, who suddenly and unexpectedly died in his sleep on December 29, 2009, at the age of seventeen, the $5,000 annual, four-year scholarship will be open to all students who participate in the TARC competition during their Junior or Senior years of high school.

Calling all geeks, nerds, designers, makers and anyone else whose ever wanted to build something cool: MakerHaus is coming to Seattle's Fremont neighborhood.

 

What’s MakerHaus? It’s kind of a geek paradise.


The 10,000-square-foot renovated industrial design space will include educational programs where members can take classes on topics such as Intro to Rhino 3D CAD; Getting Funded on Kickstarter; or Laser Cutting Basics.
